Located on the 400 block in front of Tom Evans Plaza, the Ames Main Street Farmers’ Market brings local food & fun to the heart of Ames. Discover something new every Saturday.

This year we’ve added even more vendors to the Farmers’ Market. From jewelry to coffee, from fine wine to spicy chorizo, there’s something for everyone. Check out our Vendors and help support area producers and artists.

The Ames Main Street Farmers’ Market (AMSFM) is now an award-winning farmers’ market! On May 4 the AMSFM won the Best Image Promotion for 2011 at the 26th Annual Main Street Iowa awards celebration in Des Moines.

The Best Image Promotion is a competitive award category given to only 1 of the 48 certified Main Street Communities this year in Iowa. Specifically, this award recognizes the Ames Main Street Cultural District’s (MSCD) dedication to Main Street revitalization by enhancing economic development in Ames and the state of Iowa. The Main Street Iowa Program is a division of the Iowa Economic Development Authority.
